Division 1 First BMS Night Game.

Our first night game (which was against Ballarat) has now completed. The sentiment in Division 1 is that they play all the remaining home games on Friday night – under lights. A terrific result for the club. Our Division 1 triumphed with all 4 rinks up. And with 23 shots up. Phil Clamp’s rink up by 2 shots. Ryan Bedggood’s rink up by 6 shots. Mick Storey’s rink up by 7 shots. And talk about the ditch rink being a disadvantage. “Chuck” Berry drew it tonight – with Lindsay Trounce, Travis Preston and Stephen Byron. And it became tonight’s “show rink” with a biased home crowd overlooking it. Our ditch rink played very well albeit that they fed off the crowd (well at least a little bit) and steadily went about establishing a good lead which they were able to maintain throughout the game. At the end, they triumphed by 12 shots. Importantly, the overall win allowed BMS to move ahead of Ballarat on the ladder. With 4 wins and 3 losses, they sit in 4th spot……….Night game how good??? It was a great night seemingly enjoyed by all that attended. Onwards and upwards for BMS.
