Finally some sun and good weather allowed a full schedule of pennant games on saturday and much improved results across the divisions.
Premier Division lost 41-64 away at Sebastopol 2 points
Away to Sebastopol is always a tough ask and premiers struggled again on an excellent surface. Phil Clamps rink the only win up by eight. Ryan Bedgood down by 11 and Mick Storey’s rink losing 25-6 with David “Chickenman” Schreenan having a week to forget getting the trifecta of getting plucked and stuffed after two earlier defeats in club games earlier in the week.
Division Two home to Invermay won 80-68 18 points
A very close game at home with all four home rinks getting 20 shots each and every rink was up. Mick Hampson up by one , Dave Lindsay up by 4 shots , Kevin McLean up by 4 shots and Jeff Ryan up by 3.After a close loss to Clunes in the last round a very good comeback and sneaking into fourth place.
Division Three away to Central Wendouree won 76-74 14 points
A very close one away to Central but Division Three came home with the chocolates after a 2 shot win. Paul Harris up by 3 shots , Tom Kuypers down by 8 , birthday girl Michelle Tait down by 9 and Harry Johannsen up by 16.
Division Five away at Ballarat North lost 68-91 4 points.
Away on the quick North carpet and although soundly beaten in the end Division Five sneaked 2 rinks to come away with 4 points. Ian Russell down by 11 , Neil Ellard down by 19 , Rod Otto up by 1 and Mark Taylor up by 6 shots.
Division Six home to Midlands won 109-70 16 points
Big win by Division Six at home. Skipping for the third time Mark Walsh got the vouchers for the best rink win of the week with a huge 24 shot win. Mark Walker down by 4 , Anthony McCabe up by 9 and Larry Wilson up by 10. Already in third place.
